While it is important to have a solid minor league team, none of those players really had what it took to make it to the NHL...so no real loss there.

Cant wait to see em play down here in Charlotte. Especially with all the new Blood being infused into their lineup.

How often do you get to see the Isles play every year?

Saw them twice against the Canes last season. Terrific Arena. I'd go more often if Atlanta still had a team.

Other then that it's been awhile since I've been back to LI during the Hockey Season. I think the last game I saw at NVMC was sometime around 2000 2001.

Went to the Prospects game a couple of yrs ago. Took the kids. Had a great time

Fortunately I have the NHL Ice Package so I usally watch around 75-80 games each yr.

I only found out recently that Bridgeport comes down to play against Charlotte every yr. Its about 90 mins away. Half the trip to Raleigh.

Back in the day. I'd go to 15-20 games a yr.

Some of these guys are giving up too quickly. DiBo I understand leaving...he got a look and seemed destined to finish out his days in BPort if he didn't move on. But Katic almost cracked the roster this past season before he got hurt, and there are plenty of roster spots to fill on D this year. He at least had an outside chance, and at the very worst, probably would have been on the short list for a call up in the event of an injury.

I think Katic did have some talent. Moved the puck nicely. Skated well. He actually surprised the Hell out of me at times. Still, I dont think he was in the Isles plans. Well thats obvious. They let him go!

Good! I don't have to watch DiBag run around during the rookie games anymore. Hated that guy ... likely meant he was effective

I hated him too, he could score in the AHL but was just a yappy rat in the NHL.

Didn't think it would be possible to tip your hand heading into the draft, but CBJ hiring Hartsburg is pretty close. Coached Ryan Murray.

Take that for whatever you will.

I think one thing people are forgetting with all of these moves is the CBA situation. Yes there was more money to be made overseas but also security. And I think we all know what Katic leaving means............the inevitable return of one Chef Bruno

The AHL still plays during a lockout or at least they did in the last lockout. Bruno could be a star again!
